Innovative and essential design. Square shape, essential design and monochromatic look. AXOLUTE ETÈRIS is the new slimline look of AXOLUTE, which distinguishes itself for its monochromatic look, and the extremely small thickness of the switches: only 2.5mm of absolute perfection.

Monochromatic look of the switch. Axolute Etèris features a rigorously uniform colour, which provides absolute chromatic continuity between the cover plate and the device.

Cover plates and devices in 3 finishes. The finishes are the same as for the Axolute devices: anthracite, tech and white.

New switch formats. Modularity and simplicity in two versions: large and small, to be chosen and combined depending on personal taste and installation requirements.

Freedom of composition. The 2 module switch has been conceived for side by side horizontal installation, or for vertical installation, depending on personal look and functional needs.

The functionalities of Axolute. Axolute Etèris can be used for the installation of all the modular devices of the Axolute catalogue.

Dedicated installation system. The use of Axolute Etèris must be foreseen at the design stage. For the assembly of the system, only dedicated flush mounted boxes, supports and cover plates must be used. Although it’s installed in the same way as any traditional residential lines, it’s not compatible with any other boxes currently available on the market.

The magic of the blue light and the knowledge of the design have been combined to offer (optional) ergonomic solutions. The technology used is the LED, which guarantees the maximum quality in terms of reliability and efficiency. A delicate and optional light helps you localize the light point of the controls and of the Schuko socket in the nighttime.

MY HOME Technology

In order for each BUS system device to perform its functions properly, it must be appropriately configured, thus assigning its functioning mode and ID.
This procedure, called configuration, is carried out by inserting push-in devices, called confi gurators, which can be distinguished by their number, letter or graphic label or by saving the confi guration by means of an hand-held computer (virtual confi guration).
The destination address or source address of the control as well as the operating mode of the device (activation/deactivation or adjustment of a load) shall be assigned with the confi guration inside the system.To simplify the configuration of systems with many devices, BTicino proposes the use of the new mode called “virtual configuration”.

The configuration parameters are no longer established manually with the confi gurators, but through the use of a special program called VIRTUAL CONFIGURATOR, installed in a hand-held computer. The configuration is then transferred to the device involved by means of a Wi-Fi connection wireless, established between the hand-held computer and a special confi guration kit item 3503 connected to the Automation system BUS.

A BUS system is characterised by intelligent devices connected together by a signal line (BUS) dedicated both to exchanging information and to transporting the power supply voltage.
The physical support which regulates the connection and the power supply is generally made up of a cable with twisted and unshielded pairs to which all the devices of the bus system are connected in parallel.
The actuator devices, i.e. set up to control the loads, are connected to the BUS line and to the 230V a.c. power line for the power supply of the loads themselves.
Each device connected to the system has an interface circuit and its own intelligence (made up of a programmed microprocessor) by means of which the device can recognise the information intended for it and process it to perform the function required.
From the physical and functional point of view however BUS devices are not different from traditional devices.
To switch a lamp ON the user must always press a key which, in the case of a BUS device, activates the control device to send a digital signal directly to the actuator connected to the lamp.

A new stage in the evolution of the digital switch – now it can activate functions and ambience. The range of operations is enhanced, so the switch no longer simply turns the light on and off – it offers the potential to create a different ambience at a touch, generated by a combination of pre-set configurations based on personal needs and preferences. The hand of the designer

Biography:
Giuseppe Zecca was born in Sondrio in 1934. Having trained as a painter, he moved to Milan in the late 1950s and frequented the circle of artists gravitating around Lucio Fontana, establishing an artistic and intellectual camaraderie with, amongst others, Piero Manzoni and Ettore Sordini. After a brief period working as a graphic designer, in 1958, at the behest of Luigi Bassani, he joined the BTicino Group, the leading Italian name in civil and industrial electrical equipment. In 1964, he was appointed Manager of BTicino's Industrial Design department and, since 1971, has been working freelance. In 1988, he established the Zecca & Zecca practice, specialising in product design and development. For his Living series (1985) and his My Home domotics project (1999), and for his innovative formal and technological qualities, he was awarded the Compasso d'Oro by the jury of the ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale.
